I currently serve as Managing Director of SVN | Capital West Partners where my team and I advise clients on the acquisition and disposition of commercial investment properties. Our services include site selection, financial modeling & analysis, negotiations, and working with various stakeholders to bring every transaction to a successful close. Property types include office buildings, retail shopping centers, single-tenant net leased assets, industrial/flex properties, and land for future development. I have over a decade of industry experience, having held positions such as Senior Associate in the San Francisco office of national brokerage Grubb & Ellis and as a Vice President in the Silicon Valley office of Kidder Mathews. The first eight years of my career were spent on the leasing side, representing high tech companies located in the Bay Area with their office, R&D, and industrial space needs. Some of my notable leasing clients include FOX (News Corporation), Optoma Technology, Sun Valley Group, and Fidus Systems. I was also part of the exclusive landlord representation teams for 84 W. Santa Clara Street in San Jose and 995 Market Street in San Francisco's financial district.


My vast experience with negotiating leases provides me with a unique perspective when advising my investor clients. My experience allows me to carefully advise on various risk factors such as unfavorable clauses in the lease agreement (e.g., termination rights, use restrictions, caps on property tax increases or opex pass-throughs, etc.), tenant option rights on a property, unfavorable rent escalations, non-credit tenancy, or general declining market conditions. These risk factors, among many others, should be put into consideration when evaluating any commercial investment and I take pride in being able to navigate my clients through this complex process to produce a successful outcome.  

Prior to founding the firm, I was the second-highest producing broker at The Kase Group, a market-leading net leased investment brokerage where I was promoted to a Director level position prior to my departure. In 2015 I earned the coveted CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member), held by only six percent of all commercial real estate practitioners globally. I am also a licensed Real Estate Broker (#01754421) in California. 

I earned a bachelor's degree in Business in 2007 and I am in the final stages of completing an MBA in Finance at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business (set to graduate in the Fall of 2020).

On a personal note, my wife and I live in San Jose and spend most of our free time with our three dogs. We enjoy traveling abroad (Japan and Italy are at the top of our list of favorite places visited) and are also huge fans of the Golden State Warriors and the San Francisco 49ers.
